We're a lean team at the hub of a considerable network of talent, based in Leeds, UK.

In 2004, Tobin Harris founded the company with the goal of tackling interesting and challenging software projects. Since then, he has worked for some amazing clients and developed relationships with some great people in the field.

Engine Room pulls together the best talent for each project to form a specialised virtual team. We don't pretend to be geniuses, we just want to provide an excellent level of service with an excellent result.

Tobin Harris

Tobin is the founder and co-director of Engine Room applications. He has experience with mobile, web and enterprise projects for both large and small organisations.

Tobin is a co-author of NHibernate in Action, published March 2009. He also frequently writes small articles about software development on his blog.

Chris Baxter

Chris is a co-director, with a particular focus on the iPhone and mobile side of the business. He has over 20 years of software development experience, and has a ton of experience in running agile projects and cutting .NET code. Chris is also a co-director of our sister company Gedgers, that focuses on lifestyle iPhone apps.

Lee Sommerville

Lee is our sales and business development manager. He's involved with marketing, account handling and project co-ordination.

Liz Ball

Liz is an awesome designer who helps our applications look great.
